Junior Year – Quarter 1

The first quarter of Junior Year has already been a roller coaster. The artifact I will be using to summarize the majority of the quarter is my 5 Characteristics of a Civilization project I created for my Worl History class. This project I am very proud of this because of how large it was. This was a ten-day project and I was not in class the majority of the time due to personal conflicts arising. I created a website to put forth my knowledge of how seven different early civilizations were able to thrive under certain conditions. I believe that I reached 4/6 of the 6 C’s for the Profile of a Graduate- character, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. My character was shown a lot throughout this project because it showed the determination I had for the project itself. I would stay up late many nights attempting to get the project done because I did not have the same class time everyone else did in my class. I had to use communication with my teacher in order to understand certain aspects of the project I struggled with. My website, as you will see, is very creative. You can go through seven different civilizations through a navigation bar at the top of the screen. I used critical thinking throughout the entirety of the project, as it was a representation of my learning. Through it all, I believe that this project showed me I can do harder things when under a bundle of stress. I am proud of myself for completing it.
