In a sentence or two, please answer in which piece of music you felt your performance was strongest? Why?
I feel like we did best on Moon of Winter. As a band, we had decent dynamics, which added to our performance. I also felt like I had a pretty good vibrato throughout. This piece was pretty easy for me to play, which allowed for me to work on other aspects of my playing.
If any one aspect of your understanding of music or your ability to play your instrument could be improved overnight with no effort whatsoever, what would it be?
I would want to be able to play in tune better. Especially for the higher notes, it’s hard for me to determine whether I am sharp or flat. If I learned how to recognize my pitch accurately, I think it would improve my overall playing tremendously.
