I would like to become a biomedical engineer in the future. I am very interested in regenerative engineering specifically, which is the branch of engineering that combines biomaterials with drug and gene deliver to direct regeneration of tissue. Biomedical engineering has always interested me. However, when I was applying to college, I came across a professor who developed an ‘epi-pen’ for spinal cord injuries. Ever since then, my focus has been on regenerative engineering.

This career will keep me motivated because it combines my academic interests. I enjoy math, science, and I believe I will enjoy the research involved.
