Accounting 1B Reflection

  1. What aspect of my artifact am I most proud of? Use specific examples

The aspect of this artifact I am most proud of is that I think I explained every slide very well and tried to use the least amount of words on the slide itself as possible. I think that the slides themselves don’t look too cluttered and look pretty clean. I think that I gave good information for each topic and each slide. I think that if I were to give this presentation in class, I would do well because I have plenty of information, pictures on each slide, and not too many words on each slide. Overall I am very proud of the amount of work I put into this and I think the end result shows that.

2. What aspect of creating this artifact was most difficult for me? Use specific examples.

The most difficult aspect of creating this artifact was finding a way to not write too much on the slides themselves and trying to summarize the points in short sentences instead. I think that some of the slides, like Work-Related Tasks, gave me this problem. Work-Related Tasks had a long list of different things and I had to summarize or else the slide would be way too cluttered. So instead I shortened each thing on the list and compiled those things I got from it and made it into a list of its own on the slide. Although this was more of a smaller aspect of the presentation, it does go a long way, at least for the viewer’s watching experience.

3. How does this artifact connect to the Profile of a Graduate? Be specific in your connection.

This artifact connects to Profile of a Graduate through the six C’s. I think one of the six C’s that I used was Creativity because I had to think of creative ways to make the slides not only look simple and good but be informative at the same time. I think that I needed to use Creativity to find a way to do this because sometimes it is hard for some topics to be explained in a simple way on a slide. Another one of the six C’s I used was Critical Thinking. I used this in kind of the same situations I was talking about before. I needed to use Critical Thinking along with Creativity to think of different and unique ways of making the slides both simple and informative.

4. How do I plan to take this learning forward? or What would I change if I created this artifact again?

I plan to take this learning forward in future classes whether that be high school or college. I think that I learned a lot about managing money in this class, at least in terms of a business perspective. I will use this information later in life if I myself work for a business. If I ever have to deal with money or business transactions I will use this knowledge I gained to my advantage. If I were to create this artifact again I would probably add more pictures and try to put even fewer words on each slide because these things both make the viewer of the presentation’s experience better.
