- In the process of making my poster, I was more focused on the appealing aspect of the poster. While making the poster, I drew Mr. Tibbets as the main centerpiece to make the poster eye drawing, then I added small facts below to make people convinced that Mr. Tibbets was a great American. I also added an atomic bomb for the laughs as well.
- I felt most successful when I was drawing Mr. Tibbets. I felt that when I could draw for my poster. I was excited, and I felt proud of myself drawing. I also felt proud of myself when I finished. It gave me experience and better anatomy practice.
- It was difficult for me personally to explain that my Epic American dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. Sure Mr. Tibbets is an amazing WWII veteran, however, the feeling of so many people that are just like me dying, and that is innocent makes me feel heavily empathetic. Yet again Mr. Tibbets did it for his country and made sure no casualties were made. However, I still feel bad for those Japanese people.
- It connects to creativity when it comes to the poster. It allows students to branch out and be creative with the posters. I was allowed to branch out and connect my favorite hobby to the poster. It was enjoyable and made me want to think outside of the box. This project has been one of my favorite projects in history because of the chance for everyone to be creative.
- It gave me a better understanding of both sides. The enemy and the ally. It made me realize everyone has their own opinion on other countries and everyone is complex and different. It can lead to war sometimes because of our differences. Even today, we all have conflicts. Whether it’s Iraq V.S. North America, or with friends, or family, we all are still different.

Cell City Project
- I felt most successful when I was able to work with my friend along side me when we finished the project. There were a lot of hardships and complications, but when we got it done, all of us knew we were just thankful to be finished. Finishing something is a great feeling.
- I struggled the most when someone I was mutuals with joined our group. I was very frustrated and upset about it since my group and I were already half way done. It still irks me a bit now. However the new group memeber did help and I was glad that they helped. That was the biggest obstacle during it.
- It connects to creativity becuase my group and I had to be creative. You had to come up with what every cell was. You had to take time and plan things out but you got a lot freedoms around it.
- The number one thing I will take with this is that you will be forced to work with people you’re not comfortable with. I also learned that it’s good to stay in check with your group when the situation may be complicated. Groups can be useful and messy at the same time.
Restaurant and Food Management Portfolio
- I am most proud of just getting all of my work done for the portfolio. I can’t be exact of what certain sections, words, or images that made me feel successful and proud. Nothing makes you feel more successful than just getting it complete, no specific detailed examples can represent that. However, the portfolio can be used as an example of that.
- I really have no difficulties to express other than just making sure the portfolio side of it looks perfect. That was my most difficult part of it. Making sure that everything was perfect in the slides of my portfolio. When I was trying to be completely perfect, it made me feel extremely anxious. It was hard to overcome and realize that not everything had to be perfect and realizing that I should credit myself more for what I did instead of being harsh on myself for not being able to make everything perfect.
- I believe that my artifact represents Critical Thinking. Because of the realization, I had at the end of making my slides and while writing this reflection. I learned that being hard on yourself and stressing yourself over can heavily impact how well you do academically and mentally. It required critical thinking to realize that important lesson.
- I briefly explained what I learned from all of this above here. I plan to take that and I want to learn how to not get so stressed over. Learning to maintain a calm state and to overcome my mental issues is the main aspects I will take with me. If I were to redo all of this, I would not change anything. The only thing I would fix is telling myself that I was doing good and not to worry so much.
Portrait of Lithuania
- In the beginning, I was filled with curiosity and excitement. There has been plenty of uncertainties when I was making the website, when it was done I was thankful to be finished.
- I felt most successful during this project when I was learning and engaging in learning about Lithuania. Learning and understanding their culture makes you feel more understanding and successful.
- During “Part Four” of the page of making the Portrait of Lithuania, I felt overwhelmed mentally even though it was simple. I procrastinated a lot on finishing it. Once I completed it, I felt relieved.
- It connects with Critical Thinking because of the effort and passion you have to put into it. It takes time to learn about other places and to think about the circumstances of the country you do for the Portrait of a Nation.
- It connects to the real world because it shows knowing about other countries is important. It shows what places people come from, their religion, culture, home life, etc. Without this key component, people would lack an understanding of people of other religions/ places/ cultures.
