I’ve chosen to refelt on the 5.2 counting assignment and 15.2 counting assignment to show growth and how much I have learned throughout the year. I believe that these assignments have taught me how to count difficult measures and expand my knowledge of music. What I found challenging about this assignment is the harder it got the more and more I resented doing it. I found it hard to figure out the amounts of each note and then transfer them into counting. These assignments go along with critical thinking because it forced me to use my head and think through what I thought was very difficult. I did end up succeeding and being able to move onto harder sets of notes. I will continue to use the knowledge I gained to hopefully improve my performance and be faster at reading notes and being able to time them correctly. Which was something I struggled with in the past.
